Math typesetting was deliberately put aside as we simply didn't have enough time, so the priority 4 doesn't indicate its usefulness but only its importance for the workshop

Matthias Clasen did a number of interesting things to the math parts of 

TeX. They are on ctan somewhere (/systems/extensions/clasen or something).

  provide alternate `table entries' for all those that are not

  clearly related to that particular font (ie to indiv

idual glyphs);

 

  establish what TeX needs to know about each glyph (and maybe the

whole font) for the current algorithm to work;

  maybe think about other things that might be useful for a new math

setting algorithm?

This is something that might interest Morten; also, he can probably

help Tanh with coding (in general, not just this stuff).
